Marcus Conway and ebirder 
 

ebirder focuses on small group travel by running bird and wildlife photography workshops in the Scottish Highlands. We strongly believe that you don't have to travel outside the UK to see spectacular sights. We adore the Scottish Highlands and after making numerous trips to Speyside, Deeside, Mull and Inverness, we relocated so we could show this wonderful area to other photographers. The best light for photography is dawn and dusk so in the summer months Marcus can be out at all hours waiting for the next shot.

 

 

Marcus Conway has been a keen nature enthusiast since his father took him looking for Sand Lizards on the Merseyside dunes over twenty years ago. With a degree in Zoology and 20 years practical birdwatching experience Marcus is now a tour leader and award winning photographer, taking great pleasure in sharing his knowledge and love of bird and wildlife photography with others.

The Otter that turned up outside my house was a great chance to show the local residents just how excitig urban wildife can get

Mull in May is pretty much unbeatable as well as the Highlands in deep winter

Equipment

 

The type of equipment used is not really as important as understanding and respecting your subject. On the workshops we have knowledge of all manufacturers and set ups.

 
Marcus loves to immerse himself in long projects and share his experiences and practical knowledge with other enthusiasts.
