Amur Falcon, Tophill Low, September 2008
 
  

Perhaps the biggest case of misidentification in British Ornithological history this Amur Falcon spent a month relatively unwatched as it was presumed to be a Red Footed Falcon. On the day of its departure the under wings were finally seen a the identification clinched. Dave Mansell had the key images and the wherewithal to investigate further.
