Common Sandpiper in a Tree
 
Sometimes in the Highlands it's easy to forget how special some moments are and that really this is Britain's only remaining wilderness. Originally this common sandpiper was on the road feeding, before flying to the nest in a tree to tend to its young. It seems slightly odd looking at a wading bird sitting in a tree and it makes for a pleasing composition.
