Welcome to ebirder, a bird and wildlife photography workshop and tour company, run by naturalist and award-winning photographer Marcus Conway. Here you will find details of a range of bird photography workshops as well as longer tours and bird photography tours, trips and holidays. From our base in the Scottish Highlands we focus on the needs of photographers and enthusiasts wanting to photograph the very special species of Speyside, Sutherland, Mull, Skye and the Moray Firth in our workshops, courses, holidays and tours.

Whether you are a beginner, keen hobbyist or professional we are sure to have a bird and wildlife photography workshop designed to match your needs.

We run bird and wildlife photography workshops in Speyside, the Scottish Highlands, Deeside, Inverness, Findhorn, Grampian, Sutherland, Skye, and Mull. Our Mull bird photography workshops and tours focus on exciting species such as Otters, Owls and Harriers. In the Highlands our Speyside Photography Workshops get you close to Ptarmigan, Black Grouse and Crested Tit. If you want to photograph birds of prey such as Eagles, Owls and Falcons we will have a workshop, tour or holiday to meet your needs.

What the judges said:

"It's Marcus again; he bothered to get down and dirty to get this snake. It is beautifully captured in its proper environment and makes me want to warn him not to step on it. Too often these shots are supposedly wild but taken in tanks or drums. That sort of misleading nonsense has no place in a competition like this. Nice work Marcus .... again."

What the judges said:

"Marcus set off to the Farnes with the intention of
getting a photo like this, but that doesn't detract from the fact that he achieved it. He's put a lot of thought into getting a picture that grabs attention and conveys the Puffins' diet and habitat even though it's closely cropped to show less than 20% of the bird. Several visitors commented that this is great photographic art, and I agree. It would look good blown up large on the wall of any seabird visitor centre."
