Workshop Diary July to December

Please find the 2009 diary. All workshops are limited to a maximum of 4 persons, all photographs on this page were shot on location. Please contact me for more details on each workshop. Workshops are priced reasonably starting at £50 for the half day sessions.

Yorkshire Coastline 4th or 5th (FULL) July
The day will be focussed on getting shots at the massive seabird colonies in Yorkshire and will include a 'Birds in Flight' workshop
 
Target species; Gannet, Puffin, Fulmar, Razorbill.
Possibilities; Corn Bunting, Porpoise.
 

Yorkshire Shoreline 22nd (FULL) or 23rd August
Waders amass, some in their sumptuous summer plumage, at this migrant hotspot. Anything could be seen and photographed on this popular workshop.
 
Target species; Whimbrel, Black Tailed Godwit, Cuckoo
Possibilities; Wryneck, Wheatear, Barn Owl.
 
 

Yorkshire Woodland 3rd and 4th October

A macro workshop aimed at fungi and reptiles. A chance to learn close up photography at a reliable and interesting site of special scientific interest. The site is ranked as the best place in Britain to see adders, and at this time of year they are particularly approachable.

  

Target species; Fly Agaric, Adder, Crossbill
Possibilities; Orange peel fungus, Sulphur Tuft, Green Woodpecker
 

The Rut! North and South Yorkshire 23rd (FULL) or 24th or 25th October
With the rut in full swing we will watch the impressive stag Red Deer in action. This is one of the most popular workshops so be sure to book early.
 
Target species; Red Deer
Possibilities; Fallow Deer
 

Yorkshire Farmland 12th (FULL) and 13th December

This half day workshop targets one species - the Barn Owl. Particular emphasis will be placed on photographing this majestic species as it hunts over farmland
